The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

Posted on 24 September, 201124 September, 2011 by Ikhlas

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

I just wanted to remind everyone that a new YA novel by first-time author Michelle Hodkin, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, this Tuesday September 27th, 2011.

In the summer, I had the immense pleasure of reading the ARC of this debut YA novel and fell in love with the first line. Check out my review here.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is a haunting story about a young girl by the name of Mara Dyer who wakes up one day to discover her three friends have died in a mysterious accident and she has mysteriously survived. Mara can’t discern whether anything she sees or experiences after this is real or not. The questions arethen: Is she crazy? Is she a murderer? Who exactly is Myer Dyer?

I think The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is going to be a huge hit; the story is expertly woven and the suspense makes you stay awake all night, waiting to find out what happens next. Ever since reading the ARC back in the summer, I’ve been really excited for this book to come out, not only because I can’t wait to get my hands on the hardcover edition (well that too), but also to see what people say about.

So go out on Tuesday and grab a copy or put one on hold at your local library.

In the meantime, check out the new and hot book trailer for the book. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading.

‘Till next time,

Ikhlas
