Summer Where’d You Go?

So a few days ago I woke up in a tizzy around 6 in the morning because I thought I started school in 2 weeks. With a quick check in my agenda, I realised I have 3 weeks and not 2 before school. Phew!

With that realisation came another one: where did summer go?

Seriously, I have no idea where the past four months went! First, I was busy preparing for my cousin’s wedding, and then came Ramadan and then Eid, and now the season’s wrapping up.

It’s gotten colder in the past few weeks, here in the GTA, and it reminds me that summer is quickly coming to an end! For the past 2 years, this hasn’t troubled me much, since I wasn’t doing anything come September, but now with my imminent return to school, I want to maximize these last few days.

Every summer, I have long plans about what I want to do and where I want to go, but usually, I forget about them by the middle of the season. Over the next two weeks, I hope to read more, eat more ice cream, and just get out more! I feel like I haven’t been outside much, other than when going from home to work and vice verse, so I hope I can enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.

At the same time, I am SO ready for cozy sweaters, warm drinks, and exciting adventures with school.

Have you done anything fun over the summer? Any plans for the few weeks left?

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend šŸ™‚

I am also returning back to school this September after 3 years. I am excited and nervous! I am going to try and squeeze in a trip to the CNE and the cn tower edgewalk before schools starts, inshallah.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

That sounds like a lot of fun, Nadia! And ooh, you’re brave to do the edgewalk!
And yeah, it’s nerve-wracking returning back to school…totally know how you feel. Best of luck! xx

Summer flew by for me too! I didn’t do nearly as much as I wanted to! I blame the unseasonably cold summer we’ve had for my lack of activity….although really its just been laziness. I’m excited for warm cozy sweaters and the beauty of fall, but I can’t help wishing summer had slowed down a bit. Oh well!

I totally agree, Natalie! The cold weather definitely didn’t help matters šŸ™ But I love the sense of renewal that comes with Fall: new clothes, new school supplies, crisp, cool weather, and yummy apple pie! haha I’m excited for Fall šŸ˜€
