Catching Up

Hello all!

So it feels like it’s been awhile since I’ve sat down and caught up with you all. How have you all been? 🙂

I’ve been crazy busy for the past few weeks because school, so it feels like all I’ve had a chance to post are book reviews and recipes. I wish I could say that the craziness will stop soon, but unfortunately, I’m only about to get busier!

I’m going to be starting my second placement in an elementary school this Friday inshAllah (God willing) and for the past week and a half have been busy preparing for my placement by writing up unit and lesson plans. I love planning ahead and being organized, and so planning my whole month ahead of time has been quite enjoyable. I get so caught up with planning ahead that I sometimes I forget what the actual date is, since in my mind, I’m already at the end of March. Only one month left until Spring starts to arrive (hopefully!).

Other than school, I’ve also attended a bridal shower for another one of my good friends, who’s getting married in a few short weeks! Last year was a year of weddings, and this year seems to be shaping up into another one! Luckily her wedding falls right into March break and so I’m excited to relax and enjoy her wedding festivities during my week off.

What’s even more exciting is that my bff is coming back for the wedding from NYC! It’ll be her first time back since getting married back in January and I am SO excited to see her again! Again, I’m so glad that she’ll be here during March break so that I’ll be able to see her and hang out with her as much as I want. 😀 I’m counting down the days!

What else is new? Hmmm. I just read the most AMAZING book Red Rising. For all those Hunger Games fans who read the series when they were younger, this is THE book for you. It was SO good. Full review to come soon!

For those of you who read this blog regularly, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of Amenakin and her videos on Youtube. So it was a joy for me to discover yesterday that I was featured on her blog of things she’s loving! After a tiring day at school, it put a huge smile on my face. Check it out here.
